ISCO celebrates her 10th anniversary together with 2,000 sponsored children, parents, tutors, national and international dignitaries in the 3 major Indonesian cities of

Surabaya, on July 2, 2009, Medan, on July 7, 2009 and Jakarta, on July 11, 2009.

The annual gathering of all participants in this program is of significant importance this year. Having increased the number of sponsored children from 20 to 2,000 in 10 years is an exceptional opportunity to celebrate.

ISCO, established in 1999, is a foundation striving to reach and teach Indonesia’s marginalized children, preventing them from becoming street children or child laborers. ISCO provides educational support, pre-school activities, activity centers, health and nutrition programs and a children protection and advocacy program. Currently ISCO operates in 26 poor urban areas in Greater Jakarta, Surabaya and Medan.

The Austrian Founder of ISCO, Josef Fuchs, announces his plan to increase the geographical reach and the number of sponsored children beyond 200,000 within the next 10 years. An ambitious vision, worth to strive for in a country where many still face poverty and its dramatic consequences. A goal that he and his highly motivated team will achieve with the ongoing support of numerous sponsors and political decision makers.
